An evening with Garnell W. Whitfield Jr.
Ryan Arthurs is excited to host an evening with Garnell W. Whitfield Jr.
Come meet the candidate as he prepares his campaign for Mayor of Buffalo.
Garnell W. Whitfield Jr. is a life-long resident of Buffalo, NY, former Commissioner of Fire for the City of Buffalo and Assistant Commissioner of Homeland Security for New York State. He is one of four children of the late Mrs. Ruth E. Whitfield and Garnell W. Whitfield Sr., who had been married for 68 years until her murder on May 14, 2022 in the racially motivated Jefferson Ave. Massacre in Buffalo, NY. Garnell and his wife Cassietta have four children, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren and recently celebrated their 40th year of marriage.
Since the murder of his mother and the other nine beloved members of his community, Garnell has become an activist, working around the country to expose white supremacy, lobbying for sensible gun legislation, victims’ rights, advocating for diversity, equity and inclusion for all… and now… with your support, offering himself as a candidate to become the next Mayor of the City of Buffalo.
We invite members of Buffalo’s creative community to meet Garnell and learn more about his campaign.
